wildfires
Wildfires are a seasonal health risk in Utah. Wildfire season typically runs from June through September due to hot, dry weather, wind, and lightning. Smoke from wildfires can make anyone sick, but people with asthma, COPD, heart or kidney disease, diabetes, pregnant women, children, and first responders are at higher risk of serious health complications. The best way to protect yourself during wildfire season is to stay indoors when air quality is poor and follow local health and safety guidelines.
