INFLUENZA (FLU)

Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It spreads mainly through airborne droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Symptoms usually come on suddenly with a high fever, chills, muscle aches, fatigue, cough, and a sore throat. Influenza can cause severe health complications, especially in older adults, young children, and people with underlying conditions.
